Lois E. Brown

Lois Brown of Margaretville, NY, passed away peacefully January 14, 2023. She was a long time resident of the Mountainside Residential Care Center. Lois was born on April 27, 1939 in Hartwick, NY. She was predeceased by her father Stanley J. Brown and mother, Enna Herring Brown of Franklin, NY; sister and brother in law, Maretta and William Baker of NJ; sister in law Sharon Brown of TX; and brother in law Nicholas C. Pangaro. Lois is survived by her eldest brother, Donald (Dottie) Brown of FL; sister Jean Pangaro of FL; brother Elbert Brown of TX; sister, Mary (Robert) Sickler of FL; and several nieces and nephews. Lois was involved with the ARC program in Walton, NY where she made a variety of crafts that she gave to family and donated to those in need. She loved her word search games and could be found doing them at some point every day. She was a huge music fan, but her favorite was Pat Boone. Lois was an avid golf fan, watching the PGA Tours and of course her favorite, Arnold Palmer. Lois will be missed by all who knew and loved her, and her favorite phrase, “Come on Charlie!” Arrangements are by the Bookhout Funeral Home, Oneonta.
