He was known by everyone as either Louie or Uncle Lou, even to those as old or older than him.
Louie was born in Oneonta on March 27, 1955, the son of Catherine A. (Lord) and Charles F. Reeve. In 1973 he graduated from the Andrew S. Draper Central School, now known as the Schenevus Central School.
He was employed by many local businesses until his diabetes wouldn’t allow him to work; among them were Robo Car Wash, Custom Electronics, and the Southside Mall.
Louie had many hobbies, including fishing, riding bicycle, drawing, watching auto racing, playing scrabble, watching football, and viewing movies. He had a collection of over 1500 DVDs and always enjoyed watching a good western, especially one starring John Wayne.
Louie resided at Robynwood for the past 9 years, where he met his roommate Calvin and very close friend, Tammy. Louie will be deeply missed for his daily jokes, warm personality, and nightly movies he would show from his DVD collection (for anyone that wanted to view them with him).
Louie was predeceased by his father in January 1995, and his mother in March of 2003, along with many aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his sister and her family, a nephew, Geoff (Kat) Jones, and their 3 boys, Damon, Genesis, and Thomas Michael; along with many other close friends, Brian, Nick, Shira, JP, Bob, and Dave (just to name a few).
Friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 10a to 10:30 am at the Main Street Baptist Church, 333 Main St, Oneonta, where a memorial service will take place immediately following at 10:30 am.
Louie will be laid to rest in Hillington Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by the Bookhout Funeral Home, Oneonta, New York.
