
She was born December 13, 1914 in Manhattan, New York the daughter of the late Anthony and Carmela (Miceli) Siragusa.
On September 6, 1936, Louise married Anthony Pasquorella in Brooklyn. Anthony predeceased her on March 9, 1993.
For many years she was a seamstress in Brooklyn until her retirement.
In 1981 Louise and her husband moved to Oneonta to be near their daughter, Louise. She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, the Young at Heart and the Italian American Club. Louise also served on the Hospice Auxiliary for 10 years.
Louise loved her cat, tending to her flowers, sewing (which she was still able to thread a needle and sew at the age of 98), feeding the squirrels, and watching the birds.
Louise is survived by her two children, Frank and Karen Pasquorella of Brooklyn and Louise and David McKinley of Oneonta; two grandchildren, John McKinley and Darcy Aldous of Ithaca and Melissa and John Esposito of Queens. She was predeceased by three brothers, Frank, Angelo and Charlie Siragusa.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta from 11:00AM to 12:30PM. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:30 PM with the Rev. Scott VanDerveer Associate Pastor of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Oneonta Plains Cemetery. Memorial donations in Louise’s name may be made to St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 39 Walnut Street, Oneonta, New York 13820.
