She was born on May 1, 1925 in Shinglehouse, PA, the daughter of Frederick and Margaret (Wertz) Rothganger. She grew up on the family farm, one of 9 children.
In 1949 she married Joseph A. Cyzeski. Together, they moved to West Oneonta, owned and operated the West End Diner for 20 years, and raised 4 children.
After the passing of her husband, Mickey went to work for Fox Hospital and Chestnut Park Nursing Home for the next 25 years. Never one to slow down even after she retired, she could be found taking care of others, making people pies, and even helping out the next generation of diner owners at Soda Jerks, where some of her older diner customers would come to visit her.
Mickey is survived by her children, Richard Cyzeski of Oneonta, Linda (Ernest) Burgher of Oneonta, David (Theresa) Cyzeski of Oneonta, Donna (John) Cockcroft of Springhill, Fla.; 6 grandchildren; 3 grandchildren in law; and eight great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Joseph A. Cyzeski; 3 sisters; 5 brothers; and her favorite little dog, Chica.
