Marianne was born in Breslau, Germany, daughter of Richard and Frieda Weber. She came to the United States at the age of 12 and was raised by her maternal grandmother, Marie Maywald. She was predeceased by her husbands Anthony “Tony” Kull and Rudolph Bacher.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret Winkler, Florida, and her three daughters; Brenda Staples and husband William of Newfoundland, PA; Christine Van Ginhoven and husband Paul M Van Ginhoven of Masonville, NY; and Deborah Kaye and husband Robert of Wells, NY. Marianne was the proud “Oma” of her beloved grandchildren; Skip Ford, Mark Staples, Cori Croteau, Michelle Brown, Jason Lynch, Paul S Van Ginhoven, Melissa Hyde, Anthony CeFala and Vinnie Iadicicco, Jr. She also had 15 great grandchildren; Calista, Ariana, Tommy, Alyssa, Damian, Trinity, Piper, Aleah, Chloe, Cory, Caroline Grace, Carson, Harlan III, Alexander, and Quinntinn, as well as nieces and nephews.
Marianne was a devoted housewife and mother. She was very proud to earn her United States citizenship in 1963. She loved animals and television, and being with family. Marianne became a born again Christian. She felt safe and assured that she would be in heaven with her Lord in the afterlife. She lived at Robinson Terrace Nursing home where she was cared for until her death.
A memorial service to honor Marianne will be held at the Bookhout Funeral Home at 357 Main St, Oneonta, NY 13820 on Saturday, August 22, at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be mailed to the Alzheimer’s Assoc of NENY Leatherstocking Region, c/o Ann Marie Thayer, Cooperstown, NY 13326
