Marion A. Hall, 87, of Stamford and formerly of Laurens passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Robinson Terrace, Stamford. She was born May 9, 1925 in Laurens, New York the daughter of the late Hans and Alma (Stanton) Jacobsen. A lifelong area resident, Marion graduated from Laurens Central School class of 1942. Marion married Floyd E. Hall in 1944 in Canajoharie. Floyd predeceased her on May 30, 1984. Marion is survived by her two sons, Hans (Micki) of Jefferson and Raymond (Marcia) of Saratoga; two grandchildren, Lisa Hall and Michael Hall; six great grandchildren, Christopher, Amanda, Tyler, Alexis, Bailey and Chloe; three sisters, Betty Spoor of Laurens, Beulah Colliton of Amsterdam and Nora Schloupt of Homer; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her step son, Earl Hall; and one sister, Izetta Schloupt. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 1:30 PM in the Laurens Cemetery, Laurens with the Reverend Mel Farmer officiating. Memorial donations in Marion’s name may be made to the Laurens Cemetery Association, PO Box 228, Laurens, New York 13796.
