Marjorie "Marge" J. (Finch) Schmitz

She was born on October 16, 1934 in Walton, the daughter of Ralph P. Finch and Mary E. Lambert. Marge married Clarence W. Schmitz, Jr. in Hale Eddy on August 15, 1953.

She was a homemaker until 1975 when she went to work for F. N Burt co. in Oneonta, where she worked for 28 years.

She is survived by her children, Randal (Barb) Schmitz of Otego, Ronald (Elsa) Schmitz of Delhi, Rick (Lisa) Schmitz of Otego, Rusty (Kim) Schmitz of Treadwell, Rodney Schmitz of Binghamton and Robin (Jamie) Elderkin of Franklin; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Howard (Jimmie) Finch of Walton and a sister, Patricia (John) Miller of Otego.

Marge was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Clarence W. Schmitz, Jr., on July 19, 1992.

In keeping with Marge’s wishes, there will be no formal calling hours or funeral services.
