Marjorie M. Vaughan

She was born November 19, 1943 in Oneonta the daughter of the late William and Minnie (Livingston) Sutton.

Marge graduated from Schenevus Central School.

On February 10, 1962, Marge married Hugh W. Vaughan in Maryland. Hugh predeceased her on January 11, 2004.

Marge was a Member and Past President of the Reminiscers Car Club. Marge and Hugh collected antique cars. She was also a dedicated member of the Wells Bridge First Responders and Past President of the Wells Bridge Ladies Auxiliary at one point earning her Otsego County Auxiliary Member of the Year.

She was an avid golfer and loved her flower gardens. Marge was always was there to lend a hand to someone in need.

Marge is survived by her two children, Denice Vaughan and Tim Whitehead, Otego and Bill and Missi Vaughan, Treadwell; eight grandchildren, Kaline Moore, Matt Moore, Kristin Quigley, Stephani Vaughan, Woody Vaughan, Connor Ferguson, Ethan Ferguson and Devon Bedient; two great grandchildren, Arrihanna Lorber and Liam Darmody; brother-in-law, Jim Vaughan; and sisters-in-law, Diane and Pete Matthewson, Edith Sutton and Dottie Sutton; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters and four brothers.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Kenneth L. Bennett Funeral Home, Franklin from 5 to 6 PM at which time the family will be in attendance.

A funeral service will immediately follow at 6PM with Roy VanDermark Assistant chaplain for Otsego County Emergency Services officiating. Following the service at the funeral home there will be a gathering at the Wells Bridge Fire Department. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
