Mary B. Crotser

November 17, 1960November 23, 2021

Mary Beth Crotser, 61 years of age, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in her home in Oneonta, NY surrounded by her family. Mary was courageous through a three year battle with cancer. Her disease took many things from her but her resilience, sense of humor and kind heart was never lost.

Mary was born on November 17, 1960 in Hamilton, NY. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Crotser; her children Sean Emrich, Jessica Wells (Austin Wells), Alicia Hendrickson (Alex Hendrickson), and Jacob Crotser; her grandson, Roury Hendrickson; her mother Barbara Scott; her siblings Michael Emrich (Terri Emrich), Paul Emrich (Martha Emrich), Nancy Woodcock, and Joanne Emrich; and her sister-in-law Sandra Emrich. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mary is predeceased by her father Earl Emrich; her step-father Hugh Scott; and her brother, Daniel Emrich.

Mary’s greatest joy was her children. She loved being a mother and especially loved being a grandmother. She was happiest in her kitchen surrounded by those she loved the most. She loved laughter, baking, knitting, music, any and all Nicholas Sparks books and movies, and the beach. One of her favorite times of the year was Christmas time when she got to decorate her home and bake incredible cookies and treats with family. Mary was an incredibly nurturing mother, devoted wife and caring friend and she will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Mary Beth was one of my favorite friends. We talked every day at work... mostly about books, family, and the kitty her daughter-in-law found and gave us. Visiting her office was always a bright spot in my day. Forever in my heart ❣️ 🤟

Aunt Mary, you are sunshine on dark days! I remember you always laughing and always loving! I remember your sweet, kind and insightful words. You are a woman of character and humility. You were loved so much by so many. I'll never forget singing songs, the jokes and some of the food you cooked. "winny" and how much trouble Sean and I use to get iinto. Thus again you've recently taught me how precious life really is and how enjoyable every moment should be. I love you Aunt Mary, a bit of you will be imprinted on me and who I've become. Till the time I will get to see you again. Rest in peace! ❤️

A Piece of Peace is that, that you now have. You were a piece of my peace growing up and when I called upon you later in life for strength, and insight. I will so miss your humor, laughter, words of comfort and encouragement. As I set my eyes, on each waking morning, day and night, I will see you, I will hear the last words you gave me. I will see and feel a piece of peace, you left me/us. When I see blue, I will see you; the sky, the water, a rock with blue gems, a ray of blue light, when a tear is mysteriously wiped from my face and I feel a warm embrace... Mare, I know you are with Dad, Grandma{s}, Danny, etc... Till I see you again my dear sister, so much love and missing you remains.
