Mary was born on August 25, 1915, the daughter of John J. and Mary Folliard Downs.
She was employed as a secretary by the Hearst Advertising Service and the Reader’s Digest, retiring in 1980.
Mary was a member of St. Mary’s Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a volunteer at Fox Hospital.
There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, New York.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:15 am on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at St. Mary’s Church, 39 Walnut St., Oneonta with Rev. David Mickiewicz, officiating.
