MaryJane Red Mitchell VanEtten

Daughter of William J. Mitchell II and Laurette Terese Smith, “Red” was born on June 22, 1961 in Yonkers, NY.

Mary Jane was predeceased by her husband and the ‘Love of Her Life’ Mark Van Etten who passed away in 1990. She loved helping others and cherished being a Mom, Aunt, Grandmother and friend to all.

Survivors include her children: Clare and Samantha VanEtten of Oneonta; Daniel VanEtten and his wife Amanda of High Falls, NY. Her five grandchildren: Michael, Keegan, Natalie, KileyJane and Harley. Her siblings: William J. Mitchell III and his wife Beth of Longmeadow, MA; Joseph A. Mitchell and his wife Guisella of Peekskill, NY; and Laura A. Tucci and her husband Christopher of Westtown, NY.

Mary Jane was a loving Aunt to her eight nieces and nephews: Leah and William Mitchell IV; Robert and Joseph Mitchell II] Antoinette and Mitchell Tucci; and Christian and Victoria VanEtten. She is also survived by her Aunts and Uncles: Joan Alfano, Sr. Mary Christella and Marie Anderson; Andrew and Catherine Mante. Her In-Laws Phil and Peggy Van Etten and numerous first and second cousins and other very special friends.

A private gravesite memorial service will be held on Sept. 22,2011 at Mount Marion Cemetery in Kingston, NY. 12:00 pm.
