Nancy Rasmussen

She was born May 05, 1943 in Oneonta the daughter of the late Edgar Fredrick Jester, Jr. and Clive (Bryant) Jester.

A lifelong Oneonta resident, Nancy graduated from Oneonta High School the Class of 1961.

On April 17, 1965, Nancy married William Rasmussen in Oneonta.

Nancy worked at several bank and the last being Wilber National Bank. After her retirement from the bank, she began working for Dr. Pondolfino’s dental office as a secretary and receptionist and she also was the office manager for Rasmussen Land Surveyors.

Mama was the heart of our home. The smell of her cooking and baking was part of the soundtrack of our lives. You couldn’t walk in the door without her asking “Are you hungry?” Feeding people was her love language. There was always laughter in our home, always someone stopping by, and always Mama right in the middle of it, smiling, talking, making everyone feel welcome.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, William Rasmussen; two daughters, Lesa Bussmann and Jenee (Ronnie) Green; grandchildren, Jeremy Bussmann and Madison Bussmann; one brother, Rodney (Evelyn) Jester; many nieces and nephews; as well as special extended family, Tracy R., Tracy L. and Ana B. and many others who have helped along the way. She was predeceased by her siblings, Sally, Eunice, Betsy, Warren (Bud), Wayne, Beverly, Bruce, Donald and Richard.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
