Raymond C. Wamsley Sr.

Ray was born on December 20, 1975

Ray was a son, a brother, a nephew, a friend but most importantly a father. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Ray graduated from Charlotte Valley Central School in 1996. Ray was currently employed at Gerster & Sons in Davenport as a driver. Ray loved being behind the wheel of any truck and his motorcycle. His most favorite runs were the ones with his boys by his side. Ray was a board member and coach for the Stamford Little League, a coach for the Delaware Valley Youth Soccer and a member of the Stamford and Davenport Fire Department.

Ray survived by his three children, Ray Jr, Nate and Allen they were his life.

Rayis also survived by his parents, Allen and Betty Wamsley of Worcester; brothers, Ron (Marisa) Wamsley of Oneonta and Roger (Karen) of Davenport, sister Melissa of Hobart; his companion, Tina Presley of Stamford, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews - all which meant the world to him. He was that crazy uncle that was horsing around at every family get together, yelling sometimes rather passionately from the sidelines at games or trying to beat you in a family game of basketball anytime there was a hoop around.

There will be no calling hours.

A celebration of Ray's life will be held at the Davenport Fire House at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 8, 2014.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to NBT Bank, c/o Sarah Waid, 5582 State Highway 7, Oneonta, NY 13820 for the benefit of Ray's three boys.
