Terry L. Church

She was born August 20, 1950 in Miami, Florida the daughter of the late Anton Lang and Margaret Thomas. At a very young age, Terry was adopted and raised by Ludwig and Mildred Schmidt.

On October 7, 1972, Terry married Claude E. Church in Bainbridge. Claude predeceased her on November 23, 2007.

For many years, Terry worked for U.S. Care Systems in Oneonta as a home health aide.

Terry’s passion in life was music she loved to dance and “Rock and Roll” especially to” the Beatles”. But above all she loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She always had pictures close to share with the world. Her fondest memories were playing and acting silly with her grandchildren. Terry’s life ended way too soon, but if she could say one thing to all her family and friends it would be to, “Rock On”.

Terry is survived by her five children, Stephen Church of New Windsor, Karen Church and Johny Fares of Potomac, MD, Brenda and Matt Dozier of Colorado Springs, CO, Rhonda Davis and Edward Milette of Pittsfield and Julie Davis and Luis Anaya of Johnson City; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Curtis, Kyle, Amanda, Leo, Isaac and Gabriella; as well as many friends.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta from 10:00 to 11:00AM. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00AM with the Reverend Mitchell Spring officiating. Burial will follow in the East Guilford Cemetery, East Guilford.
