Theresa A. Farro

She was born August 9, 1933 in Oneonta the daughter of the late Ralph and Faustina (Scorzafava) Russo.

Theresa grew up in Oneonta and graduated from Oneonta High School.

On September 19, 1954, she married Bryson A. “Joe” Farro at St. Mary’s Church in Oneonta. Joe predeceased her on August 07, 2019.

In her younger years, Theresa worked at the Oneonta Dairy Company as a bookkeeper until it closed. She then began working at Wilber National Bank until her retirement. After retirement, she helped out in the dental office of her son-in-law, Donald F. Lynd, DDS.

Theresa enjoyed going to HealthLinks at FoxCare, as well as going to the Carrier Dome to watch the Syracuse Orangemen play football. She was a member of the Oneonta Sixth Ward Booster Club.

Theresa is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah A. Farro-Lynd, PhD and Donald F. Lynd, DDS; grandson, DJ Lynd; two brothers, Sonny Russo and Joseph Russo; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Rose Marie Grimes, Francis “Cootie” Russo and Robert Russo.

A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church (25 Liberty Street, Sidney, NY) on Monday, April 28th at 11 am with Rev. Dr. Bernard Ampong officiating. Burial will be in Oneonta Plains Cemetery.
