Thomas Franklin Leach

He was born April 23, 1951 in Oneonta the son of the late Ernest and Wilma (Hoyt) Leach.

Tom graduated from Milford Central School the Class of 1970.

From 1972 to 1993, Tom was a self-employed carpenter. After his retirement he worked at Leatherstocking Golf Course maintain the grounds until he officially retired in 2013. He continued his woodworking throughout the years. He was a very talented man when it came to wood, you name it and Tom could build it.

Tom married Eileen Friis in 1980. They have been married for 45 years.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Eileen Leach; son, Chad and Maureen Leach; daughter, Kerbi and John Burch; grandson, Easton Burch; adopted daughter, Cory and Mike Jacobs; a brother, Charles and Doris Leach; very special nieces and nephews, Regina Roden Reynolds and family, Diane Croce and family, Tom Ploutz and family and Brad Friis and family as well as several other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Viola Ploutz.

There will be a celebration of Tom’s life on Saturday, November 01, 2025 at the Milford Fire Department from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
