He was born on November 8, 1953 in Oneonta, the son of William G. and Clara (Schmitt) Yorks, Sr.
Bill served in the US Army from 1973 to 1975.
He is survived by his mother, Clara Glavin of Oneonta; his two children, Shelly and Angela, and two grandchildren; his sisters Carolyn (Douglas) Rose and Jacquelyn (Robert) Brewer, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Friday March 28, 2014 at 11 AM in the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, Oneonta, with the Rev. Stephen Fournier, officiating.
