Yvonne O. Luckhurst

She was born May 21, 1935 in Oneonta the daughter of the late George A. and Helen (Baldwin) Ouimet. Yvonne grew up in Oneonta and graduated from Oneonta High School.

On November 13, 1965, Yvonne married Charles D. Luckhurst. Charles predeceased her on January 13, 2013.

For over 27 years, Yvonne worked as a telephone operator for NY Telephone Co.

She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, St. Mary’s Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Ladies of the Elks.

Yvonne is survived by her two children, Kim Luckhurst Terpenning, Andes and Paul Edward Luckhurst, Omaha, NE; sister, Emilie (Ted) Gaisford, Oneonta; as well as several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Francine Ouimet Campbell and brother Norbert Ouimet.

There will not be any calling hours and a private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oneonta American Legion, 279 Chestnut Street, Oneonta, NY 13820.
