It is with profound heartbreak that we announce the passing of Adrian Peter Gomez, beloved husband, son, nephew, cousin and friend, who left this world far too soon on November 17, 2025. He was a resident of Rancho Cucamonga.
Adrian was born December 11, 1980, in Upland, California, and throughout his life, brought joy, humor, and an unmistakable kindness into the lives of everyone who knew him. He was the loving husband of Heather (Finn) to whom he had been married for the past 13 years. To his family, Adrian was the kind of person you could count on for anything, at any time.
He was the only child of Peter and June Gomez, who nurtured in him the importance of his Catholic faith, family, perseverance, and love. He carried those values into every relationship he built, whether with his extended family, coworkers, or lifelong friends. His warmth, his quick wit, and his easy smile made him someone toward whom people naturally gravitated. Adrian approached life with thoughtfulness and heart, re-dedicating himself to his strong Catholic faith and values shortly before his passing.
During his early years he participated in Little League baseball, progressing to soccer in high school and college, but his passion was golf. He was also involved in coaching local youth soccer teams.
Adrian attended and graduated from Damien High School in La Verne, in 1998, where he was a key player on the soccer team. He went on to graduate from the University of La Verne in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. At La Verne, he continued his passion for soccer as a member of the university’s soccer team as well.
He was an avid golfer and pursued his love of golf from youth to adulthood. He participated in numerous golf tournaments in California and elsewhere and did not miss the opportunity for a round of golf wherever he travelled within the U.S. and abroad, most recently in Australia. He was a valued member of Red Hill Country Club’s Thursday Team.
Above all, Adrian will be remembered for the love he gave—steadfast, generous, and felt deeply by all who were fortunate enough to know him, and especially for his signature bearhugs. His absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, but his spirit will live on in the memories, stories, and quiet moments of everyone whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his wife Heather, parents Peter and June, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones in the U.S. and abroad, too many to name, who will carry his memory forward with tenderness.
A funeral mass to honor and celebrate Adrian’s life will be held on Monday, December 1st, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Church in Upland, California.
