Adrian was also known to friends as “Chief”. He entered into the presence of the Lord on Sunday June 10, 2018, at Loma Linda University Medical Center after a long battle with COPD. His family was at his side.
Adrian was born in Kansas City, Missouri on December 10, 1956 to Jessie and Mary Martinez. They raised their son in Ontario where he graduated from Chaffey High School in 1975. He then enlisted with the United States Air Force where he served his country twenty-seven years achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. On January 31, 2003 the Chief retired.
On May 2003, he began his civilian career as a Project Manager at Edwards Air Force Base. The Chief retired February 1, 2018 as The Director of the Aerial Refueling Integrated Test Team for the 418th Flight Test Squadron.
The Chief loved the Air Force, his family, friends and the Lord.
Adrian “Chief” is survived by his wife Gloria Calderon Martinez, combined children: Adrian A. Martinez Jr. (Angela Martinez), Marissa Martinez, Sabrina Flore and Roy Yanez Jr. 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Sister: Debra Martinez (Richard Martinez). Brothers: Mark Martinez and Greg Martinez (Stephany Martinez).
Preceded in death by Steve Tinoko.
