

She was predeceased by her father, Rufus Lawrence Nelson, mother Margaret Hill Nelson and her younger brother, Rufus Lawrence Nelson Jr., wife Cynthia, who died at age 32.
She was also predeceased by her first husband, Roger Wells Berry, wife Jo Ann, with whom she had two children; Lynne (Ann) Berry Westlake and Thomas Nelson Berry and her second husband Albert (Bud) Lawrence Guidera.
Ann and her children were residents of Redlands, California for several decades. She met Bud there and they married soon after.
Ann and Bud were longtime members of Riverside’s Victoria Country Club where she developed many lifelong friendships.
She had become a passionate competitive golfer playing all over Southern California and rated several golf courses.
Upon Bud’s death, Ann moved into the Air Force Village West (later Westmont Village) retirement community in Riverside, which Bud had been instrumental in establishing.
She lived there until her declining health necessitated various hospitalizations.
She is survived by: her daughter Lynne and husband Ward Allan Westlake in Hawaii; her son Tom and wife Theresa Marie (Riebli) Berry and their daughters who are scattered around Southern California; Christine Ann and her husband Marshall Grice and son Alex, Heather Nicole and her husband Charles, sons Charles and Jamie, and Lisa Michelle and her husband Matt Ramirez and in addition Bud’s son, Earl Poytress, wife Patty, and extended family Scott and Candy Wheeler.
A Celebration of Life for Ann will be held Monday, January 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Draper Mortuary, 811 North Mountain Ave, Ontario, CA 91762. A reception will follow. A committal service will occur Monday, January 27, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518.
