Arlene Marie Barrett

Arlene Marie Barrett, age 85, of Upland, California passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Arlene was born to Frank Baker and Ruby Dirr Baker on November 25, 1936 in San Bernardino,California. She studied cosmetology and was a licensed cosmetologist. She married her high school sweetheart Robert J. Barrett on February 20,1955 and raised a family together. Robert and Arlene were blessed with 60 years of marriage. She was a homemaker in charge of taking care of the family, including sewing clothing items not only for herself but for her daughter as well. Arlene loved square dancing in her younger years and being an avid seamstress sewed her own skirts to wear dancing. Arlene learned to bake during home economics in the 8th grade and baked the very best peanut butter cookies! She was very loving, caring and giving, always putting the needs of her family before her own. As a grandmother she was always available to her grandchildren and her home was always filled with love and laughter. Arlene was predeceased by her loving husband Robert in 2015. She is survived by her children, Matthew, Mark and Cindy. She leaves behind to cherish her memory 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. A Visitation for Arlene will be held Monday, August 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Draper Mortuary, 811 North Mountain Ave, Ontario, CA 91762. A Funeral Service will follow on Monday, August 8, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, 811 North Mountain Ave, Ontario, CA 91762. Arlene will be laid to rest with her husband Frank on Monday, August 8, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:20 PM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518.
