I was sorry to see that Arlene had passed. My heart goes out to all of her family.  I hope all of your happy memories of her are with you each and every day.

I was on line looking for a body man and ran across this obituary. I am in utter disbelief that Arlene passed 5 plus years ago.  When I ,read this, it brought tears to eyes. Arlene was the most unbelievable beautiful person I have ever known. She was my neighbor for years and trusted me to babysit her kids and even named Julie Elaine after my mom and I. She was a best friend, like a sister and was so loved. Over the last few years I have thought of her often and wondered about her. I hope she found my mom when she got to heaven and are sharing wonderful stories together. I will see her someday and I will be able to catch up on all the great times we had. I loved you so much !

The Cater family was one of the nicest families I’ve ever encountered. I think of them all often. Arlene was a sweet lady and I remember my parents really enjoyed time with her and her husband uptown Knierim at Bev’s Lounge. 

Thank you for being such a Inspiration in my Life. Love you so much and look forward to being with you and also my Dad in Heaven someday

It just seams unreal. I was in Reno working and couldnt make funeral. I am so very sad, that i wasnt there to honor such an amazing woman. What a true angel heaven got back. She always said I was her reincarnated. So many wonderful memories. I am blessed. I know that she has a new body and is running around with Jesus, dancing around campfires, and singing praises of Joy. My Dear Aunt Arlene,
Though I have been absent in your life for far too long you have never been absent in my heart. To this day I use you and Uncle Bob as an example of true love and "staying power". I idolized you as a mother, wife and incredible performer and am truly upset with myself that I never told you that in person. I am so very sorry Cater family. I love and miss you all and NEED to see you all soon. Please know my absence today was heart breaking.

My precious Mama Cater inspired me with her love of life and family. She and papa raised 6 wonderful kids and taught them about commitment and unconditional love. She taught me to never give up, pursue happiness and love everyone; and what an amazing cook! She will live forever through me with her Jalapeno Jelly and Ham Gravy!!. Thanks you for being such an amazing part of my life.  I will miss you forever mama.

God has blessed her with a wonderful family.  You know she is sharing her recipe for "biscuits & gravy" with the other Angels, and rocking the mic with some Patsy Klein on the weekends. I love you Arlene ...

My Dad went to work for Caters when he was 19 years old, so there was never a time Arlene wasn't a part of our life. She and the Entire Cater Family always made us feel like Family. There are not enough words to express the love of life and love of family and friends she had. I will always remember her beautiful voice, kindness and of course her cooking. I am so blessed to have been a part of her life. Arlene I will forever love and miss you Dear Woman.

Aunt Arlene, you are forever an example of love to so many including me. Thank you for your love and support. You exemplified family and gave me hope more times than you ever knew. I will miss you my beautiful aunt!

Arlene's love of life and family is evident in every one of the pictures posted here.  I hope the passage of time turns tears into laughter and sad memories into happy ones.  My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

You welcomed me into the family with open arms when I married Harold.  From that day on you always called me "your favorite little sister".  Always in my heart until we meet again.
