On Saturday, November 26, 2022, beloved husband, father and grandfather Benny A. Quintana passed away at age eighty-two. Benny was born in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Alexandro and Annie Quintana as one of eight total children -- four boys and four girls equally, he was the oldest male sibling. Having moved to California, young Benny would eventually graduate from Pomona High School in the city of Pomona. After marrying once before and having had three children in his previous marriage (2 boys and 1 girl), Benny eventually divorced and married Ana Rosa Gonzalez. Coincidentally, Benny and Ana had three children similarly, including 1 girl and 2 boys, respectively. Also, similarly and by coincidence, Ana too was one of eight total children, four boys and four girls equally, making their extended family quite large. Benny and Ana were together for fifty years.
Benny was a known admirer of fishing and a fan of horse racing, and was also a personal religious enthusiast. He was also the occasional artist/drawer, having won accolades for his artistic contributions at work -- his art had been showcased during the City of Pomona’s annual Christmas parade. Benny was a titan utilitarian, who housed a wealth of information and wisdom -- he constructed and upgraded his own properties, and he was a savvy automobile mechanic to his family and friends. Benny also enjoyed elements of gardening and landscaping, where he whole-heartedly loved growing his avocados, tomatoes and chilies. His abundance of patience, love, wisdom, humor and consideration will be sorely missed. Benny is survived by his wife Ana and his children and grandchildren.
Funeral services for Benny will begin on Wednesday, December 14, at 10am at Draper Mortuary in Ontario, CA. Friends and family are welcome to attend. While not being asked for or necessary, people who want to make donations to help pay for costs may consult with his family directly via Doris, Donald or Jimmy -- they can provide further guidance upon request.
