Cecilia "Ceci" Lopez Escanuelas, age 65, was born on October 24, 1960, and peacefully passed away on June 24, 2026. She was raised in La Verne, California, and later made her home in Montclair, California.
Ceci will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering love for her family, and the warmth she brought to everyone who knew her. She had a strong work ethic, always willing to lend a helping hand, yet she never lost her playful sense of humor. Her laughter, quick wit, and loving spirit made even the simplest moments feel special.
She met the love of her life, her husband Michael, through his sister—an introduction that blossomed into a lifetime of love, partnership, and family. Above all else, Ceci's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family. Her two sons and six grandchildren were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Nothing made her happier than having her loved ones together.
Ceci found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved music of every kind, with The Sound of Music holding a special place in her heart. Home was her favorite place to be, a place filled with love, familiar songs, and treasured family memories. She was drawn to the calming beauty of cobalt blue and aquamarine, and one of her favorite meals was her mom's homemade enmoladas, a dish that always reminded her of family, comfort, and love.
Those who knew Ceci will forever remember one of her favorite sayings: "You don't know me yet, but you're gonna love me." It perfectly captured her vibrant personality, infectious sense of humor, and the genuine warmth that made people feel instantly welcome.
Ceci was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Josie, Gracie, and Mary. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Michael, her two beloved sons, six cherished grandchildren, and many family members and dear friends who will carry her love and memory with them always.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, Ceci's legacy of love, laughter, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
May Ceci be forever remembered with love, celebrated with gratitude, and never forgotten.
