Chang Chi was born in Tamsui (淡水), Taiwan. At a young age, he began his career as an upholstery apprentice and went on to work tirelessly in that trade, providing his family with a comfortable and loving home.
In 1981, Chang Chi immigrated to Los Angeles and made his home in Alhambra, where he spent most of his life while in the United States.
His dedication, humility, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a hardworking father, and a loyal friend to all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife, his three sons and their families, and four grandsons.
