Charles served his country in the U.S. Army, answering duty with quiet strength and commitment. When he moved to California, he met and fell in love with Mary, who was his wife for 56 inspiring years of marriage.
Charles worked for the San Bernardino County Health Department for 35 years. An avid sports fan, Charles volunteered as a youth soccer coach for many years and found genuine enjoyment in the professional sports games and teams he followed.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles Joseph Plamondon, Sr., and his mother, Mary (Beurskens) Plamondon. Charles is survived by his wife, Mary Plamondon; his sister, Karen Goldade; and his brother, Reverend Donald Plamondon.
Charles' memory lives on in the hearts of his three children: Jim Plamondon, Cathy Wendel, and Diane Werdmuller Von Elgg. Charles was a proud Grandpa to four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Dorian, Sarah, Danielle, Bryce, Alex, and Aaron will all dearly miss their Papa Chuck.
