Christina Diane Pease, 65, known as Chris to loved ones and friends was born July 16, 1960, in South Dakota, and received her wings at home in Ontario, California surrounded by loved ones on May 1, 2026
Chris entered the world in South Dakota, the beloved daughter of Arturo and Judith Jasso. From a young age, she embraced the importance of family, a lesson that remained a cornerstone of her heart forever.
Chris met her husband, Steve, through friends, and they shared 46 years of marriage and 3 beautiful daughters. Above all, she most valued family, giving an abundance of unconditional love and taking deep pride in her children and grandbabies. Her special talent was sewing and spoiling her grandbabies, and those who knew her best will remember how naturally she made others feel cared for and loved. Through time spent together, through patient attention, and through the warmth of her presence, all of Chris's loved ones knew how special they were to her.
For more than 30 years, Chris worked at Joann’s Fabrics, a place that fit her gifts and interests so naturally. Her hands were skilled and her care unmistakable, expressed through a lifelong love of sewing, making baby blankets and clothes for family and friends. Later in life loved to crochet.
Chris had many joys, including a love for classic rock music, and spent much of her time listening to music, sewing, crocheting, reading, and being with family and her grandbabies. She loved visiting the beach, old cemeteries, fabric stores, and spoiling or what she would call loving on her grandbabies she also enjoyed chocolate, Red Vines, and El Chilitos Mexican Restaurant.
Chris was preceded in death by her mother-in-law JoAnn Beamer; her fathers-in-law Mike Beamer and Gary Pease; her brother-in-law Don Newman; her grandmother Alicia; her grandfather Jim; and aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her husband Steve; daughters Sara, Laura, and Julia; mother Judy; father Arturo; brother Art; son-in-laws Dawaun and Earl grandchildren Kiara, Serena, Aalynah, Elijah, Stanley, Josiah, Isaiah, Zachariah, Ellae, and Marley; and many nieces and nephews; and countless other family members and friends.
In the days ahead, many will carry forward with her in their hearts and a simple, steady phrase that reflected her way of living life: “This Too Shall Pass.”
SHE WILL TRULY BE MISSED!!
