I had the privilege of working with Dan for 13 years. His passing hit us all hard at UCI facilities. DAN was a  man  of great pride, he took pride in his work, He took pride in his friendships and mostly he took pride in his family. It is a great loss to me personally and to UCI Facilities . Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family.    We love you Dan and will miss you.

My  sincere condolences to all the family.  I have worked at UCI for many years and  I would see Dan everyday drive by me on his orange cart waving or saying hi. He was shy and quiet but sweet and just a true gentlemen.  May he rest in peace. 

Dear Browne Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss.  I knew Dan from working at the med center.  We used to smoke together on breaks back in the day, and then once each of quit, we always stopped to say hello when passing each other in the hallways.  Dan happened to be out front one afternoon when I was dealing with a situation with my daughter next door.  It wasn't easy or comfortable for me.  He saw what was going on and shared his own personal experience which helped me get through what my family was going through at that time; He always remembered to ask about my daughter Randi over the years.   He was always very nice and genuine.  He will be missed at UCI.

     Dan, you will be missed in many ways by so many people, but we choose, individually, to hold onto our own unique memories of those who physically leave this life before we do. 
     Becky, we will remember Dan as a good husband and father, a good provider, a hard-working, kind and generous Family Man.
     We were both impressed on many occasions with Dan's love for animals, babies, flowers, butterflies, the Great Northwest, and so much more.
     With fondness, we'll always recall his teasing, sincere caring, warm hospitality and early-morning runs to Starbucks.

Dad,

I can honestly say I feel lost without you.  I keep replaying the last voicemail you left, “son call me, I love you” just to hear your voice.  Waking up every morning expecting it to not be real, only to be punched by reality.  I wouldn’t be who I am without you and I don’t know how to do life when you’re not by my side.

I am so thankful for the time we had together.  Your grandsons love you and will always carry you with them.  Thank you for all of the love and memories.  We love you pops and can’t wait to hug you again!

Uncle Dan. That’s what you are to me. I love you with all my heart and my heart hurts that I won’t see you in this world anymore.  There are so many memories that I have that I can’t even list them all. I could write a book. You were my best friends husband, you were my big brother, you were my champion, you were Rylies Uncle Dan.  I felt nothing but love and acceptance and protection from you. You always had the best in mind and in your heart for those that you loved. I always saw that heart in you and I’m grateful for you.  Grateful that you were a part of my life and part of my family. Thank you for being the stinker that you were because those will be the memories I share with a smile and laugh in my heart.  I love you so much uncle Dan and I miss you. I know that you are with Jesus right now and I celebrate that you are in a place where I’m going to see you again.  Love you 

Danny was my little brother.  He was the youngest of 13 kids, yes 13!  I was 15 months older than Danny he would follow me wherever I went.  He was shy as a kid with blonde hair and green eyes.          We shared a bedroom and also shared our hopes and dreams...he wanted to be a Rolling Stones groupie.  Danny was a great athlete.  His freshman year he was the starting wide receiver on the football team, point guard on the basketball team and fastest kid on the track team.  He ran the 100 yard dash, 200 yard dash and anchored the 4 x 100 relay.  My little brother generous, kind, thoughtful and hard headed! We will miss him.  I love you, DING!




Several years ago , Barbara and I used to have a BBQ every Sunday evening .Everyone brought something to our meal. Becky brought Dan, and donated his time to  do the dishes after our meal, He did a fine job, so fine a job that he was elected from then on. He was a great sport about all the attention that was paid to his dishpan hands ! From that time on he just fit into our family quite nicely.  He will be missed.

It's hard to believe we won't be seeing your stunning green eyes, hearing your laugh or quick witted remarks that made us laugh. You are surely now surrounded by your pets that crossed over, from those little hermit crabs, the cats, dogs and let's not forget the chickens. You are missed, rest in peace dear Dan... We love you.

I work for the UCI blood donor center. Dan donated blood regularly for many, many years. He always had a smile on his face and a friendly hello for everyone. We all knew that Dan didn't like the needle stick ( he screamed every time) but he selflessly continued to donate blood because he knew he could help save other's lives. He will be greatly missed. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

In September of 2001 I met my husband  to be while sitting at Starbucks in Fullerton, CA. We chatted briefly about his interest in buying a home. At the time I was a loan officer and let him know I would be happy to qualify him for a loan.  The next day I called to let him know what he would qualify for.  Dan asked me if I would like to take a motorcycle ride with him on his forest green Heritage Harley-Davison as his way to say thank you to me. Green is my favorite color, I have loved motorcycle riding since I learned to ride when I was 8 years old and he had the most beautiful eyes so I told him I would love too.  We rode through Carbon Canyon a few nights later and had a great time.  After that night he has given me my first child our son Kyle  Browne. He shared with me his eldist son Brian Browne and daughter in law Jennifer Browne  our grandsons Aidan, Brenden and Maddox, his daughter Melissa Pan and son in law Allen Pan our granddaughters Natalie and Quinn.  I have loved Danny  faithfully for 17 years and 7 months and will forever cherish and miss my dear friend.

We will always remember Dan's smile, his kindness and sweetness, and how he was cool and funny while having a generous, tender heart! He will be missed on earth! Loves and prayers for all of his family!!! Hugs to Becky and Kyle! 

I will miss him especially when I see jelly beans. I am sorry he is gone. He was a good man.
