

Dee Van Dam, age 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of generosity, creativity, and love. Born on February 13, 1948, to Bas and Nellie Van Dam, Dee was a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose kind spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Dee found deep joy in the simple, beautiful things in life. She had a wonderful talent for crafting and a passion for gardening. Above all, Dee's life was a beautiful reflection of her Christian faith. She lived out her beliefs through her selfless heart and dedication to her community. She spent countless hours volunteering her time and energy at Three Way Thrift, Salem Christian Home, and Inland Christian Home, quietly making a profound difference in the lives of many.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bas and Nellie Van Dam, and her sister-in-law, Patty Van Dam.
Dee’s memory will be forever held in the hearts of the loving family she leaves behind. She is survived by her siblings: sister Nellie Van Dam (Doug Knapp); brother Bert Van Dam; brother Eldert Van Dam (Susan); and sister Henny Carney (Bill).
She also leaves behind a proud legacy in her nieces and nephews, who will miss her dearly: Renae McCain, BJ Van Dam, Rachel Depue, Katie Young, Tracy Zavadil, Aerin Carney, Michael Van Dam, and Adam Carney, as well as her two great-nieces and eight great-nephews.
Dee’s warmth, her beautifully cultivated gardens, and her unwavering willingness to help others will be deeply missed , but her family finds great comfort in knowing she is at peace in her heavenly home.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at First United Reformed Church in Chino, CA.
