Derek found comfort in the simple joys of everyday life. He loved to be home, where he could relax and enjoy the things that brought him peace. His favorite hobbies included listening to music—especially oldies, Mexican banda, and oldies rap. He also enjoyed movie nights, and he liked spending time playing online. Derek’s favorite colors were blue and red, small details that remain meaningful reminders of him.

Above all, Derek valued family and God. The way he cared for others, the kindness he showed, and the love he gave so freely reflected the steady faith and devotion that guided his life and shaped the legacy he leaves behind.

A visitation will be held at Draper Mortuary, 811 North Mountain Ave, Ontario, CA 91762, on April 10, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
