

A limited service for family and friends will conducted on Friday, February 14 at Draper Mortuary in Ontario, California at 5:00 PM. Internment will take place at Riverside National Cemetery on February 24.
Dorothy was born June 6, 1945, in Niagara Falls, New York to Dorothy and Doctor Charles Edgette. Dorothy attended Catholic schools in Niagara Falls and graduated from Niagara University in 1966.
While working for the U.S. Air Force in Washington D.C. after college she met and married Richard, her husband of 45 years. Dorothy leaves three children, Anne Marie, Scott, and Christopher, and five grand daughters: Samantha, Georgia, Gabriela, Alexis and Ashley. Dorothy had four brothers, Charles, Peter, Arthur and Paul. Dorothy had three sisters,Judy, Ellen Jo and Carol. Her oldest sister Judy and her youngest brother Paul, preceded Dorothy in death.
Dorothy was a teacher in Ontario/Montclair School District for over 20 years. She chose to be a substitute teacher that gave her the freedom to raise her children and be as good a mother as she was a teacher who cared about her students.
Dorothy will be missed by all who knew her. She was truly one of the good people in this world.
