Eduard Franciscus Vrolijk

Eduard served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War in 1970. In recognition of his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with M60 Device. His commitment was marked by care, precision, and qualities that remained evident throughout his life.

Eduard was married to Helen and together they raised two children. Family was central to his life and those closest to him will remember the steadiness of his presence and the thoughtful attention he brought to the people he loved.

In quieter moments Eduard found joy in simple and meaningful pleasures. He enjoyed listening to Hawaiian music, holding close the hope of one day retiring in Hawaii. He played guitar, enjoyed camping and took watched his favorite show, Baywatch.

Above all Eduard will be remembered as a man who did things thoroughly and who could hold a room with a story. Sharing memories with a careful eye for detail and a gift for bringing moments to life. His life was shaped by service, devotion and the enduring warmth of the stories he told and the time he shared.
