Elizabeth Ann Bunch is survived by her husband of 26 years, Johnny Darren Bunch. As well as her children Felicity Bunch, Brent Bunch, Aaron Bunch, her mother Sherry Schroeder, her in-laws Johnny and Deanna Bunch, her siblings Stephen and Michael Schroeder, and many loved and cherished family and friends.
There were many endearing names that Elizabeth was known by during her life. Some of those names were Mumsie, Mom, Momma Bunch, Aunt, Daughter, Liz, yet, most importantly, a child of the Living God. She loved the Lord, and she loved her family. The passion that Elizabeth exemplified for Jesus, and her family, is something that not too many people have. The type of passion that she had is a thirst for life that does not come around too often.
Her passion in life could be observed and felt in many ways. One could see her passion in Jiu-jitsu, whether she was supporting her family as they participated or by participating herself in which she excelled. Her participation included winning three medals, one of which was at the Masters of the World competition in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she won the bronze medal. She loved the sense of competition, and she loved her Jiu-jitsu family.
She was passionate about lifting weights (in which she wanted to start training for bodybuilding), hiking, outdoor activities, the beach, Old Spaghetti Factory (the one in Newport Beach), Medieval Times, her car (death would be upon you if you touched it), and taking the youth out and ministering to them.
She would become so passionate about a specific activity or sport that she would obsess over it. That is until she mastered it, then she got bored and moved on to the next thing to conquer, which was a frequent occurrence. However, one passion that she did not walk away from was her work. There she learned all different aspects of the job and excelled in the workplace at Arrowhead Credit Union.
Elizabeth, although in great shape, still had a passion for her food. Whether that was accidentally dropping her pizza and throwing a tantrum, getting a unique acai bowl, loving the restaurants that she did, or threatening to kill Darren if he tried to take her candy, she had passion.
With so many facets of her passion, the most important was her passion for her family and the Lord. She would be quick to defend her husband and kids (even having to be held back at times). Elizabeth would do anything for her children and her husband; there was nothing too big or too small that she was unwilling to sacrifice for her family. She always wanted to ensure that they were protected and taken care of each day.
Her love and support for her family were witnessed in everything from supporting her husband as he ministered the Word of the Lord; to helping her children excel in their passions; to making sure to have a devotional with her kids each morning; to the simple, yet so essential, way that she would tell each of them that she loves them every day.
Elizabeth Ann Bunch will be missed; however, her passionate legacy will never be forgotten. It will live on through her family and those who had the honor of knowing her.
