

After the war (WWII) Erika met a handsome American Fighter Pilot with the U.S. Air Force and they were married in her beautiful hometown of Munich, Germany. They lived in London, England for a while where Fred was stationed and eventually they came to the United States where she became a proud American Citizen. After Fred retired from the Air Force they settled down in Pomona, California then moved to Upland, CA in 1973.
Erika was an excellent cook and enjoyed hosting dinner parties. She loved to celebrate Octoberfest each year and was a great Polka dancer. Christmas was her favorite season and she took great pride in her beautifully decorated Christmas Trees.
She is preceded in death by her first Husband Fred W. Schultz in November 1978. Later she met her partner in life Elmar Kent who passed in March 2020. Also preceding her is her Brother Eddie, Sister Heidi, Brother Erich and Sister Bobbie (Hildegard).
She leaves behind a beloved Niece Debbie Rodricks, who she raised since 3 yrs old and was really a Daughter to her, 2 Grandsons Jeff Rodricks and Kevin Rodricks, Great grandson Jaxon, and Nephews Charles Dunlap and Erich Stein. She was very well loved by family and friends and she will be greatly missed.
A “Celebration of Life” for Erika will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Draper Mortuary, 811 North Mountain Ave, Ontario, CA 91762.
