Ernestine was born in Decatur Illinois on October 1, 1929 to Ernest and Mable Whiteside, the youngest of three girls (sisters Norma and Maxine). She graduated from Decatur High School in 1947. She married Don Toole in 1948 and they had three sons together; Richard (Glenn Allen, AK), Kevin (Round Rock, TX), and Brett (Kearney, MO). She worked many years as a keypunch operator. She was divorced, moved to California, and later married Dan Hamilton in 1970. She was a member of the Nazarene church for most of her 86 years. She had several hobbies including fishing, handiwork, working on puzzles, playing games, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan. Ernestine went to be with Jesus August 25, 2016. She is survived by a host of family and friends. Visitation will be September 16th at 9 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 10 a.m. at Ontario First Church of the Nazarene, 1311 W. Fifth Street. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Nazarene Missions International.
