Gem Eleanor Bambico Sahagun, 60, passed away on August 18, 2026. Born on March 5, 1966, in Baguio City, Mountain Province, Philippines, she was the daughter of Gertrudis and Alfredo. At the time of her passing, she resided in Chino, California.
Gem met her husband, Juanito Sahagun, at work, and together they built a life rooted in devotion to family. She was deeply proud of her children Tamara Sahagun, Jenine Sahagun, and William Sahagun, and carried herself with a steady, nurturing presence that made others feel cared for and at home.
A woman of creativity and skill, Gem expressed her love in countless practical and beautiful ways. She was talented at cooking and sewing, and she also enjoyed crafting and card making; thoughtful pursuits that reflected both her imagination and her generous spirit. Her personal joys included listening to Lewis Capaldi's music, watching her favorite show, Breaking Bad, and visiting her favorite place, Sequoia National Park.
Gem also gave of herself beyond her home through Habitat for Humanity, offering her time and effort in service to others with quiet purpose and compassion. She devoted her professional life to teaching mathematics, inspiring generations of students with her knowledge, patience, and dedication.
She was preceded in death by Winston Bambico, Alfredo Bambico Sr., and Gertrudis Bambico. She is survived by Juanito Sahagun, Tamara Sahagun, Jenine Sahagun, and William Sahagun.
