Born in Chicago, Illinois, on February 21, 1963, Greg moved with his family to Chino, California, in 1972, where he made his home and found much of his happiness.
Greg was a man of many interests and wide-ranging knowledge across many skillsets. He could fix just about anything. He loved tinkering, improving, and starting new projects, though finishing them was sometimes another matter. He always had a plan, and probably had the parts somewhere, too.
He loved classical music, especially the organ, and spent years collecting recordings and working toward building a pipe organ of his own. He had a deep appreciation for presidential history and tradition, and found endless enjoyment in Star Trek, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Speed Racer, Looney Toons and the stories and music that brought those worlds to life.
Greg was a member of Church of Grace Garden Grove and the California School Employees Association. He was a man who felt deeply but expressed little, lived simply but appreciated finer things, and found his greatest comfort at home with his family.
Above all, Greg was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was warm, jovial, dependable, and occasionally frustrating in all the ways that make a person uniquely loved.
Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Lorenz; father, George Munday; stepfather Adam “Ed” Lorenz, and sisters, Louella Munday and Theresa Lorenz. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; son, Joshua (Vanessa) Ramsdell; grandson, Hunter; nephews, Philip "Bubba" Salvatore, Tristan (Stephanie) Salvatore, and Brandon (Colette) Dixon, grand-nephews Adam Salvatore, Ian Salvatore, Emmett Dixon, Lucas Dixon, Jacob Dixon, and Arlen Salvatore; and brothers Philip Salvatore and James Lorenz.
He leaves behind a family who loved him, and a home full of memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Greg's memory to Church of Grace Garden Grove at https://churchofgracegardengrove.org/donate
