Howard Pyles

Howard Junior Pyles was born on April 30, 1929 , in Fairmont West Virginia, to Edna Marie and Howard William Pyles. When Howard was a teenager, the Pyles family moved to California. Howard spent the majority of his life living in southern California. At the age of 17 Howard was called upon by the United States Army to defend and protect our country. Howard proudly served our country and was honorably discharged, September 27, 1956.On September 9, 1961 Howard Married the love of his life, Lou Allen(Pyles). Howard had daughter Lenora prior to meeting Lou, but together the 3 of them welcomed a baby boy, Howard(Howie) Pyles III. Howard went on to work for United Parcel Service (UPS) and retired after 28 years. Howard enjoyed children and helping others so much that in 1982, a young mother named Arlene came to live in the Pyles home, she became family. Later in life Jessica and Lorna joined the Pyles extended family, and referred to Howard as "Papa". Howard never met a stranger. His smile and kind heart will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Howard passed away peacefully at home on, October 9, 2014 in Calimesa, Ca. He is survived by; wife (Lou), daughter(Lenora), son(Howie), sister-in-law (Ethel), grandson (Vincent) and a host of extended family and friends.
