My Grandma Chavez had the biggest heart I've ever known anyone to have. I'll always remember getting in the car to go to Grandma Chavez house because I knew she would always have something waiting there for us kids whether it was candy or tamales or maybe even a dollar for the ice cream truck! She was always happy to see us and hear about things I'd done at school or my trips over the years. I remember one year in particular she even went with us to El Paso... She was hesitant at first but I asked her right up until the day before we left and she had such a good time visiting with everyone. She loved her turn arounds to Vegas and sometimes we'd even stop over unannounced and grandma was gone...well where's grandma? We'd ask... Ohhhh her and Irene left to State line this morning and she'd tell us about it the next time we saw her. Other trips I vaguely remember were those to Ensenada where EVERYONE would camp out on the beach and talk and eat and eat and talk. The most meaningful and memorable days were the countless Sunday BBQs at our house. If you haven't been your missing out! These last few years my Grandma couldn't see but you put one of her Ralphy's ribs in front of her and let me tell you she had 20/20 vision! She'd always sit at the table in the same place right next to my Grandma cookie and talk for hours. She was always there whenever her family needed her and in the end her family was there for her. Thank you for that. Always humble, forever greatful, and full of endless love, my Grandma Chavez I love you!

My favorite and best Tia in the world...allways asked about my boys...they loved her dearly,Im so glad to have her in our lives,so glad to have got to sit down and give her a hug and kiss and to tell her we loved her....thank you Chaves for being a part of our lives....we sure are gunna miss you....and to The Leyva children,grandchildred and their families...may God comfort you all during this time and allways....Linda,Lomar,Leo,Leon Loredo....RIP my dearest Chavez.

To the Leyvas, We will miss Chavella with all our hearts, she was one of a kind, she had the most gentle soul and the kindest heart. She will be looking down at you guys smiling. She's with Chavo and Danny and at peace. She's home. All our prayers and thoughts go out to the family, especially my friend Evie.
