Jay Allen Charlson

Jay built a successful career selling heavy equipment for more than 20 years, earning the respect of those who worked alongside him and those he served. In every setting, he brought an unmistakable energy and an ease with people that made others feel welcome, seen, and valued. Above all else, Jay was most proud of his children, and that pride remained at the center of who he was.

He found joy in the everyday and the wide-open places he loved: boating at the river in Parker, AZ, off-roading in Glamis, as well as trips to the beach. He also enjoyed listening to female country artists, a soundtrack to many of the moments he made memorable.

Jay was preceded in passing by father Martin Charlson and mother Shirley Charlson. He is survived by son Jeffrey Charlson, son Jacob Charlson, and daughter Leanna Covert, as well as many family and friends whose lives he touched. Jay was truly a friend to all, and his presence—bright, spirited, and deeply loved—will be missed beyond measure.

Jay’s memory will live on in the love he gave so freely, the connections he formed so naturally, and the family and friends who will carry him forward in their hearts.
