

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jayleen Olmos, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend, who left us far too soon. Jayleen was born on August 10, 1962, at Lincoln Hospital in Los Angeles, California, to her devoted parents, Rodolfo and Gloria Olmos.
Jayleen's early years were spent in Los Angeles, where she attended Florence Flanner Elementary School, Torch Middle School, and eventually graduated with honors from Bassett High School. Her academic achievements were only the beginning of a life marked by dedication, compassion, and excellence.
Her professional career flourished at Covina KinderCare, where she devoted over 27 years of her life to shaping young minds and building strong relationships with families. Starting as a school-age teacher, Jayleen's exceptional leadership and vision propelled her to the role of center director in under two years. Under her guidance, Covina KinderCare became a top-performing center, achieving consecutive years of a “Level 6 rating” the highest level of quality rating within their internal assessment system . Her remarkable ability to foster financial success, retain staff, and create a welcoming environment for generations of families made her an irreplaceable part of the community. For Jayleen, KinderCare wasn’t just a workplace it was a second home where her passion for nurturing others truly shined.
Outside of her professional achievements, Jayleen found immense joy in her personal life, especially through her lifelong love for Disneyland. A devoted annual passholder for most of her life, Disneyland was her happy place, where she created countless magical memories with her family. Whether riding her favorite attractions, enjoying festive parades, or sharing a snack on Main Street, Jayleen cherished every moment spent there, making it a special tradition that brought her and her loved ones closer together. Her passion for Disneyland wasn’t just about the destination it was about the joy, laughter, and love it inspired in those around her. Jayleen's love for the holidays was equally unmatched she delighted in celebrating each occasion with enthusiasm and flair, ensuring every space from her home to her office and even her car reflected her festive spirit.
What truly defined Jayleen was her unwavering love and support for her family. She was her grandchildren's biggest cheerleader, attending their soccer games, school plays, Taekwondo tests, hula performances, and every milestone in between. Her steadfast presence at these events symbolized her deep commitment to those she loved.
Jayleen leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith that will forever inspire those fortunate enough to have known her.
She is survived by her loving mother, Gloria; her cherished children, Jayleen, Crystal, Tiffany, and David; her adoring grandchildren, Kyri, Kiera, Kayleen, Faith, and Cameron; her three siblings, Jarvie, Gloria Jaye and Mark.
Jayleen was preceded in death by her father Rudy and brother Alan.
Jayleen will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched. Her warmth, compassion, and boundless enthusiasm for life will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Services will be private, but a celebration of Jayleen's remarkable life will be announced at a later time.
