Jeanne Agnes Vander Poel

Jeanne had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures; boating across calm waters, spending a sunny day on the golf course, or enjoying her cherished visits to Cayucos and Catalina, where her heart was happiest by the sea.

She was married to her beloved husband for 61 years. They were best friends and inseparable companions throughout life, always together, sharing laughter, faith, and a deep love that continues to inspire their family.

A devoted reader of the Bible, Jeanne’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She carried it with grace, kindness, and quiet strength—qualities that earned her the admiration of all who knew her. She shared her faith generously, teaching CCD at St. Margaret’s Church and guiding others with patience and compassion. Her family describes her in one word: amazing.

Jeanne is survived by her children: Cynthia of Chino, CA; Jacquelyn (Joe) Horchak of Marana, AZ; Brenda (Jeff) of Chino, CA; William (Christie) of Visalia, CA; Mark (Gina) of Tulare; and Mike (Paula) of Tulare, CA. She was preceded in death by her son Pete Jr. (Viv) of Tulare, CA.

She also leaves behind a legacy of 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.

Jeanne’s warmth, laughter, and unwavering love will be missed beyond measure.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Jeanne’s memory.
