Born in Tunisia on January 12, 1927, Jeannette lived a remarkable and adventurous life. She spent her early years between Tunisia and France, where she met the love of her life, Joseph (“Giuseppe”) Gaglio. Together, they moved to the United States in 1950 to begin a new chapter and build a family grounded in love, faith, and tradition.
Jeannette was known for her gentle spirit, warmth, and kindness. She had a deep passion for cooking and loved sharing her recipes and skills with family and friends, bringing everyone together around the table. She was also a talented seamstress who found joy in sewing and creating clothing for those she loved. Fluent in several languages, including French and Sicilian, she carried her heritage proudly and infused her home with the richness of her culture.
Jeannette is survived by her four children—Maria, Mathilda, Jack, and Greg; nine grandchildren—Anita, Joe, Monica, Amanda, Jessica, Gia, Andrina, JJ, and Jerod; and eight great-grandchildren—Autumn, Madison, Liam, Ella, Jaxson, Carmela, Ozzy, and Milani. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph, whom she missed dearly for over 30 years. We find comfort in knowing they are now joyfully reunited in heaven.
Funeral services will be held on December 12th at 1:00 PM at Draper Mortuary in Ontario, followed by burial at Bellevue Cemetery.
Jeannette will be remembered for her loving heart, her wisdom, and the countless memories she created for the generations who follow her. Her legacy of love, family, and faith will live on in all who knew her.
