Those who knew John will remember a man whose happiness was steady and sincere, whose friendly nature made others feel welcome, and whose love of life showed in the simple, meaningful things he enjoyed most.

Music was one of John’s great pleasures. He especially loved the lively spirit of Boogie Woogie and the rich tradition of mariachi. One of his favorite pastimes was playing his records at full volume and enjoying every song.

John found joy in watching wrestling—especially WWE—and he took pride in building things, a talent that reflected both patience and care. He also had a gift for playing the drums, bringing rhythm and energy to the moments he shared with others. Among the places he held dear was his little casita, a cherished space that spoke to the comfort he found in home.
