Kenneth David Pace was born August 1, 1955 in Covina, California. His father was Everett Wyman Pace and his mother is Elinor Louise Herrold Pace. He is the youngest of 3 sons. Ken graduated from Bonita High School in La Verne and that is where he chose to live almost all of his life.
Ken was a simple and quiet man. Anyone who knew him, knew him to be honest and compassionate. Ken had a wonderful sense of humor also. He loved cars (had over 100) and yard sales. He would no sooner buy a car, fix it up, and sell it for another. He was an excellent wood craftsman as well. Ken had so many talents. He loved clocks, he loved to fix things. Always had a project going on.
Ken established his business as a plastic injection molder. Opened his business "Pace Brothers" aka "A&B Enterprises" in the late 70's. He learned mold making from my dad and then moved on to injection molding. He loved hanging out with my brother Del on any given night. They both had vets and would go cruising, end up at In N Out for a lemonade and fries and watch cars go by.
In 2007 he merged his business with ours, L&H Molds & Engineering, Inc. He worked side by side with me and my brother Steve. We made a great team and he has left a big gap where the gentle giant used to be.
Ken was my first date in high school when I was 16. We went steady in high school, but went our separate ways but always remained friends and in touch. In 2022 we celebrated our 50th anniversary of our first date. Spaghetti Factory, honestly, who doesn't like spaghetti =-) We got engaged in 2011 but didn't marry until February 28th of 2020, just before the pandemic hit. We had a beautiful wedding at Holy Name of Mary and it was the happiest day of our lives.
My son Michael lived with us for a bit and Ken quickly became a role model for Michael. Together they rebuilt the engine on Michael's '69 convertible Mustang. I know that the time they shared together was priceless. Ken felt what it was like to have a son, he loved him so much.
Ken became ill in 2019, but remained as kind and positive as ever. Ken is survived by me, Brenda, his wife. His step son Michael and his wife Justine and their beautiful son sweet baby James. His mother Elinor, his brother Skip and his other brother Rick, his wife Sue and their daughter Erin and her husband Frann.
May God hold Ken gently and quietly under his wings. An Angel was granted entrance into eternal peace. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
