LaVonne, is basking in glorious peace. I'm sure of it! She always wanted to be ahead of the rest; be the best...get there first....to lead the way and then waive her team in with an achieving smile. A few folks who work with me now, speak fondly of her leadership. They all say she was taken to heaven too soon. With a smile on my face and a little quiver in my voice I say "Well, you know LaVonne. I'm sure she's saving us good seats!"

LaVonne, for me and all other diabetics you were one of the angels sent by God to help us by riding for our cause. Ill never forget your energy, your easy smile, your organization. Ill always remember badgering you to take the spin class and marveling at all the rides you were participating in, the time we went on the hike on the semi dark. I will so miss you. Rest in Peace my friend.

I had the pleasure of working for La Vonne at Home Savings- she was an authentic and caring leader who wanted the best of herself and those around her.  I am so sorry to her family and friends for the loss of her-- way too soon.  May the memories of her bring you comfort and know the early days may be dark with grief but the light will shine again and when it does, La Vonne will be there.

I am so absolutely devastated, she was my best friend when we went to Berlyn Avenue Elementary, living right up the street.  

I think the silliest story I can remember is the little change box we buried at her house when we were 7 or 8.  We would put our nickels, dimes and pennies in the box, and on the weekend we would dig it up, get a little bit of money out of it and go to the store and buy a treat.  In fact, one weekend, she was so excited,  I needed to try this new taste sensation she had discovered.  That was the weekend I first tried yogurt, and it was delicious.  

Another memory is how much she loved Ron, I was a bridesmaid at her wedding and she was so excited to get started with her life with him.  Everyone should be so lucky to find the true man of their dreams.

She lit up the room, she was so smart, so vibrant, her memory will be impossible to extinguish.  She will always be one of God's true Angels.

My friend, mentor and forever-boss...You are missed and loved so very much.  So many lessons, laughs and adventures that will always bring a smile as I share with whomever will listen.  Forever in your corner LV...

LaVonne truly left a special mark on everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her spirit and smile will always be in my heart.  I know God will provide her family with the strength and peace you seek.

I'm so sorry, I don't know what to say to help ease the pain, but I do know that La Vonne was a GREAT Lady strong, fearless, caring and very loving. I admired her determination, her energy and she set her goals high and she made sure reached and passed up her goals. She wouldn't want to see you guys sad she always tried to make everyday a happy one. She kept the tradition of the birthday hamster up even when it was giving out. I will miss her. I love you guys. Mom, in so many ways I'm indebted to you for all you taught me, for all you did for me, and for helping me to become the person I am today. Even though you are now in the communion of saints, at that resurrection table, you will forever be within and amongst all of us that you touched especially me, my beloved wife to be, and countless others through Chase/WaMu, the cycling groups and so many others throughout the world. I love you and I will miss you. Vaya con dios (Go with God) and know you are forever held in the never failing grace and love that sustains all creation. Whenever we do things in your spirit and having fun you will never be forgotten or missed. :-)

We were so very sorry to hear of La Vonne's passing. Although we didn't know her well, we are deeply saddened. She brightened and brought joy to so many people's lives, a testament to what a great and loving woman she was.

The world is full of people but not many lit up the room like LaVonne did, always a smile! At Christmas time I went for the first time to your home with my husband for her annual breakfast ride. I was so impressed! I said I can't wait to come back for her wonderful hospitality! I met La Vonne a few times, being dragged to work functions by my wife Maliana. During those few occasions, I must say she seemed like a very nice, kind hearted person.  With the passage of time, Maliana would always speak very highly of her. La Vonne, while she may have been a 'boss', always treated my wife with respect, dignity and kindness. It is through the treatment my wife received from La Vonne, that I sit here with a very heavy heart to say she was a wonderful person who touched my life with the kindness given to my wife. I am so very sorry.

La Vonne I can't believe I'll not see you again. The reality has set in and the shock is wearing off but I still  don't understand why you. It's just unreal to think we'll never see you or ride together again. It was always a highlight of my day to see you at a ride and I think we worked well together on rides - when I could keep up with you that is! You made such a good friend and lasting impressions on so many of us. Always concerned for others. I can only imagine all the great friends you must have made during your lifetime. They say you are lucky to more than a couple really good friend but I'm sure you had so many. I admired the way you were able to do so much with Scott. We had just recently exchanged texts about how I deal with my kids moving away and I never thought that would be our last contact. I'm just so sorry we never saw each other or rode again after those texts. Good bye my friend. We've all lost a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend but heaven has another angel.

I thought about La Vonne today while at work, the lives she touched and what she meant to each and everyone of us. To me she was Sunshine on Two Wheels. We will miss her greatly. Thank you Ron and family for sharing her with all of us.

La Vonne was instrumental in helping me along in my career at WaMu (now Chase).  I spent 2+ years as La Vonne's Team Lead for the CA 26 Region.  I enjoyed learning from an inspirational leader that La Vonne was.  I am saddened that she was called home too soon.  She was not only a perfect example as my mentor, but was such a wonderful person as well.  I will miss you so much!  Love you La Vonne and all of my Inland Empire colleagues and friends!

  La Vonne was my neighbor for over 15 years.  Her son grew up with my son Travis.  We will miss this women's smile and her upbeat attitude that shine with every time I saw her. I was hired and worked for LaVonne as a bank teller in the mid-1980's. I was so shocked and sorry to read of this tragic accident. My sympathy to her husband and kids. May she rest in eternal peace.

Shawn, I am so sorry for your lost, although I did not know your mom, as your sister in christ, we are here for each other, to comfort, and to be strong, when the other is weak, cry together, laugh, and show love for one another, during the good, and the  most difficult times.  We that know you, are here for you, and to your family know that she is resting with lord, face to face, and someday soon we shall meet with our loved ones, and oh! what a glorious time it will be! I am amazed, but not surprised at how many lives my sweetheart touched, how deeply she impacted and empowered friends, colleagues, employees. Her warm smile, her compelling belief in you, and the challenge-matched with her fervor- made great people out of good ones. The breadth and depth of La Vonne's impact on the world will not be realized by all of us together until that day when we gather at Jesus' feet and we hear him claim: " Well done good and  faithful servant." Until that time, I know she is helping God organize and facilitate one corner of Heaven. I love you baby, and my heart is empty now, but I am eagerly awaiting our reunion in Heaven.
