My name is Olani LaBeaud. I met Ms. Allen through the relationship between her and my mother, Lily Okine. When I would visit Ms. Allen, her smile would light up the room and she would always reassure of my beauty and brains. Hearing her kind words made me, not only confident in my abilities, but as a whole. I will always cherish the last moment we shared when I came home a few weeks back. No matter what happens Saturday night, one of my mother’s favorite Sunday traditions is eating breakfast with my Auntie Keta from Mary Stewart’s Soul Food in Rialto following church service. Except this Sunday, we brought breakfast, sat, and talked with Ms Allen. I, along with many others, am truly grateful for that moment and being able to know such an amazing, strong, loving person. Ms Allen had a great soul and I am glad that my mother and I were fortunate to form a loving relationship with her.
Love you and fly high beautiful !

My name is Lily Okine. I met Mrs. Ladine Allen, as my Supervisor when we worked at William Bell Headstart. I can still hear joyful voice, as she called my name. She was my favorite Supervisor, who those who worked under her, quickly became her family, if you were a good person.....We had so many times where we worked, laughed, cried, and shared a multutude of memories...let's not forget the potlucks!! Anyone who knows Mrs. Allen, knows she used to love fried chicken!! She provided me with a wealth of motivation, strength, leadership skills, and I soon adopted her as my Mom!! Not but not least, I will miss calling you on our shared 🎂!!! I can go on and on about Mrs. Allen!! I'm just grateful to God that I was able to know such a kind, fierce, lovely lady who loved the Lord and all those who loved her!! I Thank God, I was fiven the opportunity to re-connect with Mrs. Allen, before God called her Home!! God granted you your wings, Mrs. Allen!! To the family of sister Allen my prayers and thoughts are with you may God bless you and hold you close in his arms. I remember Sis Allen from Friendship Baptist church. She had a voice that was a gift from God. You would have to move by the holy spirit because if you didn't something would be wrong with you. She Love the Lord with her hearr. She showed her children and other children how to praise God. I now close by saying Goodnight for now see you later. Yours in Christ.

I remember Ms. Allen being a very positive person and always had a smile to greet everyone. I don't think she knew how to frown or see the downside of anything. I did not work with her closely, but she always wanted to do the right thing and I saw her strong personality come through. You could always tell she loved the children that she encountered on a daily basis. She is one of the reasons Head Start works. Thank you Ms. Allen and my condolences to your family.
