Louie Aguerre, 81, passed away September 11, 2012.
He was born January 15, 1931, in Upland to Ignacio and Manuela Aguerre. Louie was brought home from the hospital to Chino and never left.
While attending Chino High School, he was a member of the Letterman’s Club. He played football, and baseball. Louie was an active member of FFA (Future Farmers of America) through high school. He graduated in 1950.
He served his country during the Korean War in the Army. He spoke of the experience often throughout his life. He went back to working on his family dairy after he returned from the service. Eventually he took over the operation; he married Angela and they raised three children in the same home he grew up in. The Dairy wasn’t just a business it was the heart and soul of Louie and everything he stood for. The cows were sold in 2004 due to declining health.
He is survived by his wife, Angela of 51 years, his daughters Arlette Melton of Folsom, CA, Marie Schofield of Chino Hills, CA, son, Louie “Butch” Aguerre Jr. of Victorville, CA; sister, Betty Iriart of Ontario, CA; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Henry “Hank” Aguerre.
A Visitation will be at Draper Mortuary at 811 N. Mountain Ave. Ontario, CA. on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel. A Rosary will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 20, 2012 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Chino. The burial will be held at Riverside National Cemetery following the services.
In lieu of flowers the family’s wishes are memorial donations to the American Heart Association, or charity of your choice.
