Mac and I connected through music.  When words could not express what we were thinking or feeling, it was music that could.  May 31, 2022 at Long Beach City College.  It was an honor, it always was.  Wendy and I carry you in our hearts.

If I could choose one word  that  described you, it would be HONOR.  For as long as I knew you, this was a constant theme.  Your encouragement for us all, was to honor in your flute voice.   To HONOR, Our Women, Our Veterans, Our Elders, Our Ancestors, The children and Grandchildren. You honored us all with your presence  in our lives  and today, we gather to honor your memory.  It is, and has been my honor to have had you as a friend, a brother,  my mentor and teacher.   You encouraged and taught my heart to sing with my grand daughter ,Josie.  Our family, Kaaron Josie, and Bear, extend our hearts and Condolences to Aunt Cherry,  and all the family, to the many friends and hearts  you touched with your gift. We Thank You.

This is when I realized we are fellow military veterans, and Mac reminded me so much of one of my family members on my Mom's side (her Mom), it was totally tripping me out.  RIP, you are missed tremendously.

Mac and I met for the first time at his booth.  We created an instant connection.  Benny Mullinax was here too who I met for the 1st time.  They were such a great team, you could see they had a wonderful relationship.  I bought my 1st Native American flute from Mac.  RIP, you are missed by so many.

To all of Mac's family, you have my most sincere condolences ! ! ! !

I only knew Mac over the phone and thru emails and other social media. I will miss him none the less.

Sorry to hear of Mac’s passing.  We met through our love of flutes.  I will think of him often whenever I play or make a Native American flute.  My wife and I enjoyed talking with him.  Blessings on you Cherry.
